This is designed to hold common magnets found at a hardware store (10.5mm X 22.3mm X 47.2mm). It fits over the bottle connector at link below. You may need to enlarge the base hole a bit. I have read magnets enhance the effect also magnet fields need to oppose. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2166671

This file describes a parametric ball and socket mount that could be used to position a small, lightweight object at a specific angle (e.g. a touch-on LED closet light that is aimed at an object of interest). The socket has screw holes for attaching to a substrate like a wall or door. Objects could be attached to the ball mount with Velcro or adhesive. It uses a 10-32 thumbscrew to apply pressure to the ball to keep it from moving, with the extant hole drilled with a 3/16" bit.. I am using...

This clamp is designed for wheelchairs such as the Quickie Ti which are made from 1" tubing. The clamp is designed to attach to straight tubing, dowels, etc. The clamp (in two parts), once assembled, will position an eyebolt (or other threaded fastener) at a specific location. This can make it easier to transport items (such as a bag), act as a tool holder, etc. This model uses the following hardware: 3/8" - 4" Eyebolt 3/8" - hex nut (4) 1/4"-20 - 1.5" Bolts (4)...

Many people with disabilities such as cerebral palsy (not limited to CP) can grasp with their hand but not rotate at the wrist. This means that they can not draw or write on paper, as the the pen is usually parallel to the paper. This device is designed to hold a pen or marker vertically while being held itself horizontally. By loosening the thumbscrew, the pen or maker can be switched out at will. It uses a captive square nut and a thumbscrew to help maintain the pressure on the marker. The...

This is a simple clamp that facilitates attaching other clamps to a pole. I had someone donate a nice floor lamp to me, minus any of the bits except the stand and the base. I use little spring clamp lights for photography, but those clamp will slide right off a slick pole - not as bad if you are using a gorillapod or a reuseable rubber twist tie... but still. This is parametric and can be adjusted for any diameter of tube. This design uses pan-head bolts/machine screws and hex nuts to apply the...

These are "counting manipulatives" for teaching addition, subtraction, and basic number concepts. - it is easy to see that 1+1 = 2, 2+3 = 5, 5, 7, 3 are odd (but 2, 4, 6, 8 are even). Individual files are all generated from the .SCAD file.

This is a cuff/spork for a little boy who is missing all his extremities. This spork allows him to feed himself. It fits over his nub (left arm, in this case), with a slot milled out for a "thumb" he has on his forearm. He can take the utensil off and on by himself. While this design is specific to an individual, the general principle could be used by other people.

This is a toy bus that actually rolls. It prints as a frame, windows, bumpers, and wheels, so that it can be printed in three different colors of PLA. For this model, I used 8-32 philips-head machine screws (3/4" long), 12 washers, and 4 8-32 hex nuts to secure the wheels so that they roll. I put a drop of LocTite blue threadlock on the threads to keep the nuts from coming loose accidentally. The windows and bumpers were attached with superglue. It was designed for use in a brain-injury...

This project demonstrates a way to "loft" from one shape to another in OpenSCAD using the concept of tweening. Using this project, one can easily shift from a circle to a circle(of different size), a triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, hendecagon, dodecagon, rectangle, trapezoid, heart, star, or cross. You can even add your own shapes or customize the default shapes for your own applications. Sample cases: you need an adapter to go from one hose...

This is a simple holder that can be screwed into a coatrack. It enables the user to insert a "blind" cane in the holder. While most canes have wrist lanyards or other ways to hang/store the canes, they tend to flop out into the room or become a tripping hazard. This device keeps the cane securely tucked away. Pictured are how the cane holder can be used on a coat rack (next to commercially available coat hooks). The edges are rounded so that they don't cause injury if someone is...

This device adapts a round doorknob to a lever for easier opening by people with disabilities. It has holes in the handle to allow for tying it to a cord (for example, people with amputations or dwarfism who would not be able to reach the doorknob). The EnteraLite Infinity is a pump for some children that are fed through a stomach tube. Unfortunately, some times the pump must be placed within reach of inquisitive fingers (such as the tube to the stomach is not being long enough). The pump has no lock-out features; so the inquisitive fingers can have great fun mashing buttons, shutting off the pump, or changing the flow rate - all of which can have very negative impacts. This guard allows the caregiver to slide the guard up, start a feeding...

We worked with a boy several years ago who had to have his hands and feet amputated. We modified a Sheriff Woody doll with the same amputations and gave the doll a set of prosthetics that matched the boy's. This helped the boy use his prosthetics and gave him a buddy who was just like him. We made a demonstration doll for ourselves, but over the years the components to his handmade prosthetics were lost (one too many show-and-tells). This design creates a replacement set of prosthetics for the...

This is a simple enclosure style that I have found myself using a lot for different interfaces. I have designed many computer interfaces that are little more than a plastic box containing some arcade buttons and some species of controller. For instance, it can become a quick way to launch a program or send shortcut keys. Many of my designs are used by people who have low vision or poor dexterity, so large bright buttons are a win. I like using arcade buttons to interface different things to...

This is a parametric filament guide to judge the color of a type of filament at given thicknesses. This model has space for a "tag" so that the filament supplier and color can be written on the swatch. It has a hole so that multiple swatches can be combined with a bolt or keyring. You can control the length, step thickness, number of steps, etc. For example, if you wanted samples between 1-10mm, this is easy to generate with this swatch.

I worked with a client who had no useable fingers - one arm was amputated and the fingers on the other hand were fused. She could not open the microwave because her microwave had a button that had to be pushed in about an inch (a very common design) to open the door. She could not do this because she had no fingers. She had a pencil that she could hold and sometimes open the microwave, but this didn't work well - she also had severe vision loss (why the 3D printed part is bright green, BTW)....

After installing it, I made some changes that should make it work. -Lower slots for belts. -Matched position of the stock stepper motor holes The intent of this design is to replace the stock extruder laser cut pieces. The back plate is a one piece design to keep everything solid. The bolts have material to back them up so, you can tighten them up without breaking things. PLEASE, let me know if you have any suggestions or items that need fixed!
